Fairfax flies by Wabasso

WABASSO — The Fairfax Cardinals flew past the Wabasso Jaxx 11-1 on Sunday in a non-league amateur baseball game.

The game ended in seven innings due to the 10-run lead rule.

The Cardinals were led at the plate by Isaac Louwagie, who was 2 for 3 with three RBIs and two runs scored, while Jacob Meyer was 2 for 2 with two runs scored. Ethan Louwagie was 1 for 3 with four RBIs also for Fairfax.

Isaac Louwagie earned the win in seven innings, allowing three hits and three walks for one run while striking out 11.

Noah Anderson was 2 for 3 to lead Wabasso at the plate, while Carter Guetter added a triple and Samuel Guetter had an RBI. CJ Theis took the loss in four innings, allowing six hits and three walks for six runs while striking out two.

Fairfax is at Leavenworth on Wednesday night to resume play in the Tomahawk East League, while Wabasso will travel to take on the Willmar Indians on Friday night in a Corn Belt League game.
