The Brewers, who host Springfield Sunday at 5 p.m. at Johnson Park in the “New Ulm Amateur Baseball Hall of Fame game” took a 2-0 lead on Stark in the bottom of the third on a Cole Ranweiler RBI double and a Keckeisen single.
But the Longhorns tied it in the top of the fourth. Haala walked and one out later, Sellner deposited Sandren’s first offering deep over the fence in right field.
Stark then nine men to the plate in the top of the fifth scoring six runs.
A Haala three-run triple was followed by an Arian Saenz run-scoring single. Sellner then connected for his second two-run shot of the game for an 8-2 lead.
New Ulm scored twice in the bottom of the sixth on an Ethan Thompson single and a Seidl groundout.
The Brewers plated their last two runs of the game in the eighth on a Lucas Suess double and a Keckeisen sacrifice fly.
Stark plays at Fairfax for a Tomahawk East League game Friday night.
