Arndt leads New Ulm at state skeet shoot
Submitted photo New Ulm’s Charlie Arndt had a perfect round of 25 for 25 in the State Skeet Shooting Championship in Prior Lake on Thursday. He finished hitting 93 of 100 targets overall for 11th place in varsity action.
PRIOR LAKE — New Ulm’s Charlie Arndt hit 93 of 100 targets to place 11th out of 114 shooters at the State Skeet Shooting Championship on Thursday.
Arndt had a perfect round during the meet, hitting 25 of 25 targets.
Also from New Ulm in varsity competition, Tilken Fruhwirth placed 27th by hitting 83 targets, while Tate Isaacson finished 34th with 83 targets hit.
Ian Lee placed sixth in the junior varsity competition, hitting 83 targets, while Ben Furth placed 12th, hitting 80 targets. Also in JV competition, Bryer Augustin took 18th with 75 targets hit, while Isaac Achman hit 74 targets for 19th place. John Sondag took 25th (71/100), while Breckon Augustin took 27th (69/100), Masen Grussendorf took 31st (65/100), Thomas Wels and Jacob Portner tied for 34th (64/100) and Breck Reinhart placed 37th (50/100).
Addysen Weiland placed fourth in the female junior varsity competition with 77 targets hit, while Maggie Arndt placed sixth (64) and Eleanor Grathwohl placed seventh (63).
Weston Knisley took sixth in the novice male event (65), James Groebner placed eighth (63) and Logan Kimsey placed ninth (61).
