NEW ULM — The New Ulm Eagles recently wrapped up their regular clay target season and celebrated the year with awards for the top shooters in both trap and skeet competition.

New Ulm’s top shooters in trap this season were Tilken Fruhwirth, Ian Lee, Charlie Arndt and Tate Isaacson. Fruhwirth, a senior, led the way with a season average of 22.4, while Lee averaged a 21.7 and Charlie Arndt and Tate Isaacson tied for third with averages of 20.9.

The top shooters in skeet competition this year were Arndt, Fruhwirth and Isaacson. Arndt shot a season average of 22.3, while Fruhwirth shot a 21.1 and Isaacson shot a 19.2

The Eagles are now preparing for state competitions in Prior Lake, Minnesota, for skeet (Eagles competing on June 11) and Alexandria, Minnesota, for trap (Eagles competing on June 23).
