BUFFALO LAKE — New Ulm’s Lillian Kral qualified to advance to the second day of the Section 3AA tournament after shooting a 100 in the first day at Oakdale Golf Club on Wednesday.

The top five teams and the next 14 individuals not on the top five teams advance to the second day. Also from New Ulm, Brogan Thordson shot a 113, while Maddy Wellmann shot a 116. Lydia Osborne shot a 121, while Chloe Kelly shot a 142.

Minnesota Valley Lutheran’s Kara Hinrichsen shot a 104 on the day, missing the qualifying cutoff by three strokes. Also for the Chargers, Eden Grubbs shot a 109, while Scarlet Heldt shot a 111. Eden Isaksson shot a 114, and Annika Lowrey shot a 119.

The second day of the tournament begins at 9 a.m. Tuesday at Oakdale Golf Club.
