SEU BOYS PLACE SECOND AT OAKDALE INVITE
BUFFALO LAKE — Sleepy Eye United hosted a prep golf meet at Oakdale Golf Course on Wednesday. The SEU boys team placed second out of seven teams, while the girls team placed fifth.
Marshall won the boys side of the meet with a score of 296, followed by SEU (311), New Ulm (318), Dawson-Boyd and Lac qui Parle Valley (332), Russell-Tyler-Ruthton (352) and Mountain Lake Area (356).
Dawson-Boyd won the girls meet with a 348, followed by LQPV (371), Marshall (378), RTR (380), SEU (409), MLA (410) and New Ulm (421).
SEU’s Nolan Kucera and Marshall’s Decon Wing were the medalists on the boys side of the meet after shooting a 72. They were followed by Marshall’s Elijah Winn (73), Marshall’s Carter Manthei and Dawson-Boyd’s Evan Mork (75) and New Ulm’s Mason Buegler, Marshall’s Ethan Wendorff and SEU’s Blaine Arneson (76).
Dawson-Boyd’s Alyssa Swedzinski was the medalist on the girls side witha 77. She was followed by LQPV’s Molly Halvorson (80) and Kate Ulstad (83), Teigyn Oleary (83), Marshall’s Dayton Webskowski (86), SEU’s Sam Price (87), MLA’s Nevaeh Ott (88) and SEU’s Kiara Murphy (89). Lillian Kral led the Eagles girls with a score of 96, tying for 15th.

SLEEPY EYE 13, GHEC/T/ML 3 (5 INNINGS)
TRUMAN — Sleepy Eye rolled Granada-Huntley-East Chain/Truman/Martin Luther 13-3 in five innings in a nonconference baseball game on Tuesday.
Brayden Heiderscheidt earned the win for the Indians, striking out two and allowing three runs on six hits. At the plate, Kaden Klein was 2 for 3 with two RBIs and three run scored, while Carson Uecker was 2 for 3 with two RBIs and two runs scored. Jaxon Saenz had a double and four RBIs with a run scored.
Sleepy Eye (11-1) plays at Wabasso on Thursday.
