NORTH MANKATO — Nicollet and Madelia participated in a softball tournament at Caswell Park on Saturday, with Nicollet going 2-1 and Madelia going 0-3 in the tournament.

Nicollet won the game between the two teams 11-1 in five innings. Brielle Osborne earned the win for Nicollet, striking out two while allowing one run on four hits. At the plate for the Raiders, Lydia Martens was 2 for 3 with four RBIs, while Jazmyn Goettlicher had a home run. Zoie Rengstorf was 3 for 4 with two RBIs and a run scored.

Addison Odegard took the loss for Madelia, striking out one and allowing 11 runs, seven earned, on 10 hits in four innings. At the plate, Makayla Sorenson had a hit and an RBI, while Janelle Callejas was 2 for 2.

Nicollet defeated Sauk Centre 11-1 in five innings as well. Osborne earned the complete-game win, allowing one hit and one earned run with eight walks. At the plate, Chloe Kachelmeier was 4 for 4 with an RBi and two runs scored, while Aubrey Hulke was 2 for 3 with three RBIs.

Nicollet fell 9-0 to Cleveland. Osborne took the loss, allowing 11 hits but no earned runs with two strikeouts. At the plate, Goettlicher had a double and Taylor Wilking had a triple.

Madelia fell 13-3 to Sauk Centre in five innings. Emily Jacobs took the loss, striking out four and allowing 13 runs on 12 hits. At the plate, Alicia Lugo had a hit and an RBI, while Makayla Sorenson had a double.

Cleveland defeated Madelia 10-0 in six innings. Alayna Caraway took the loss, striking out two while allowing nine runs on six hits in five innings. At the plate, Sorenson was 2 for 3.

Nicollet (9-5) is schedule to host Madelia (3-10) on Thursday. Madelia will host a game against Granada-Huntley-East Chain/Truman/Martin Luther on Tuesday first.

PREP BASEBALL

CLEVELAND 6, SIBLEY EAST 1

CLEVELAND — Cleveland defeated Sibley East 6-1 in a nonconference baseball game on Monday.

Ben Friederichs took the loss for Sibley East, striking out one and allowing five runs on eight hits in two innings. Alex Bachman pitched four innings, striking out three and allowing one run on four hits. At the plate, Riley Edblom had a hit and an RBI, while Landon Friedrichs had a run scored.

Sibley East (6-3) hosts a doubleheader against Minnesota Valley Lutheran on Tuesday.
