SLEEPY EYE — Sleepy Eye swept Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart 17-2 in four innings and 12-1 in six innings in a Tomahawk Division softball doubleheader on Thursday.
Taylor Berkner was the winning pitcher in Game 1, striking out nine while allowing two runs on one hit. At the plate, Jaelynn Schauman was 3 for 4 with two home runs, five RBIs and three runs scored, while Taylor Berkner was 3 for 4 with a home run, a triple, a double, three RBIs and three runs scored. Callie Evers was 2 for 3 with a home run and three runs scored, while Lexi Hoffman had a home run and two RBIs.
Berkner also won Game 2, striking out 12 while allowing one run on no hits. At the plate, Evers was 2 for 4 with two home runs and four RBIs, while Jace Schauman was 2 for 3 with three runs scored. Jaelynn Schauman was 2 for 4 with a home run, three RBIs and two runs scored.
Sleepy Eye (9-2) plays at St. Clair on Friday.

WABASSO — Wabasso swept Springfield 10-0 in six innings and 8-2 in a Tomahawk Division softball game on Thursday.
Aylah Jenniges got the complete-game shutout in Game 1, striking out three and allowing one hit. At the plate, Delania Eis was 3 for 4 with four RBIs and a run scored, while Macy Rohlik was 2 for 4 with an RBI and two runs scored.
Regan Beadell took the loss for Springfield, allowing 10 runs on 10 hits in five innings. Makay Winkelmann had the lone hit for the Tigers.
Jenniges also earned the win in Game 2 for Wabasso, striking out three while allowing two runs, one earned, on four hits in seven innings. At the plate, Audrey Johnson was 2 for 3 with three RBIs, while Cassie Bliss was 3 for 3 with a home run, five RBIs and three runs scored.
Faye Williams took the loss for Springfield, allowing eight runs on 11 hits with two strikeouts. At the plate, Isabella Groebner was 2 for 4 with a run scored, while Jada Reese had an RBI.
Wabasso (9-2, 6-2) hosts New Ulm Cathedral on Tuesday, while Springfield (6-3, 6-2) plays at United South Central on Friday.

Jayde Altermatt earned the win in Game 1, striking out six while allowing one run on four hits in a complete game. At the plate, Shay Wilfahrt was 2 for 4 with an RBI and a run scored, while Thea Paszkiewicz was 2 for 4 with an RBI. Abbey Hillesheim had a hit, three RBIs and a run scored.
Taylor Mathiowetz took the loss for St. Mary’s, striking out one and allowing two runs on three hits in 2 2/3 innings. At the plate, Rivers Helget had a hit and a run scored.
Abbey Hillesheim earned the win in Game 2, striking out five while allowing two runs on five hits in five innings. At the plate, Leah Wilson was 3 for 3 with a home run, while Brynn Wilfahrt was 2 for 3 with an RBI and two runs scored. Shay Wilfahrt had a hit, two RBIs and a run scored.
Mathiowetz took the loss in Game 2 as well, striking out eight while allowing nine runs on nine hits. At the plate, Eva Schweiss was 3 for 4 with two runs scored, while Mathiowetz was 2 for 3 with a run scored. Neil Weiss had a home run with three RBIs, while Natalie Zarn had a hit, an RBI and a run scored.
Cathedral (8-2, 7-0) hosts Lester Prairie on Monday, while St. Mary’s (3-5, 2-5) plays at Nicollet on Friday.

NEW GERMANY — Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop swept Lester Prairie 7-2 and 9-8 in a Tomahawk Division baseball doubleheader on Thursday.
Kaden Rieke earned the win for the Firebirds in Game 1, striking out seven while allowing two runs on eight hits in a complete game. At the plate, Owen Swenson was 3 for 4 with three RBIs and a run scored, while Luke Bastian had a hit, two RBIs and a run scored.
Cole Kemkes earned the win in Game 2, striking out four and allowing four runs on four hits in 1 2/3 innings. At the plate, Kemkes was 3 for 4 with five RBIs and two runs scored, while Rieke was 2 for 4 with an RBI and two runs scored. Bastian was 2 for 4 with two runs scored, and Kellen Nachreiner was 3 for 4 with two RBIs and a run scored.

Noah Mueller earned the win for the Tigers in Game 1, striking out three while allowing four runs, two earned, on five hits in five innings. At the plate, Aiden Moriarty was 2 for 4 with three RBIs and two runs scored, while Madden Lendt was 2 for 3 with an RBI and four runs scored. Leo Hovland was 2 for 3 with two RBIs and a run scored.
Zach Skoblik took the loss for Wabasso, allowing four runs on six hits in 3 1/3 innings. At the plate, Brooks Baune had two hits and an RBI.
Eli Streich earned the win for Springfield in Game 2, striking out four while allowing four runs on five hits in five innings. At the plate, Lendt was 2 for 3 with three RBIs and two runs scored, while Streich was 2 for 4 with a run scored. Moriarty was 1 for 3 with two RBIs.
Kemp took the loss for Wabasso, striking out two while allowing eight runs, one earned, on five hits in four innings. At the plate, Baune was 2 for 4 with an RBI and a run scored.

Eric Lozano earned the win in Game 1, striking out five while allowing one run on three hits. At the plate, Kaden Klein was 2 for 4 with four RBIs and two runs scored, while Chase Zufall was 2 for 5 with three RBIs and two runs scored. Brayden Heiderscheidt was 2 for 5 with two RBIs and a run scored, and Carson Uecker was 2 for 2 with an RBI and two runs scored.
Zufall was the winning pitcher in Game 2, striking out four and allowing one run on three hits. At the plate, Jacob Fulmer was 2 for 3 with an RBI and three runs scored, while Klein was 2 for 3 with an RBI and a run scored. Uecker had a hit and two RBIs.

At No. 1 Singles, Charlie Weidman topped Daelen Sithad 6-0, 6-0, while Dan Brownfield defeated Moises Segura 6-4, 6-3 at No. 2 Singles. Isaac Dittmer downed Ryker Fricke 6-3, 6-1 at No. 3 singles, while Griffin Lehne won over Moo Wah 6-0, 6-0 at No. 4 singles. At No. 1 Doubles, Wyatt Feucht and Thomas Lehne defeated Cristian Miranda and Coltin Olmanson 6-3, 6-3, Everett Brown and Ryan Johson topped Nick Martinez and Benjamin Marquardt 6-2, 3-6, 12-10 at No. 2 Doubles, and Hayden Owens and Cole Frederick won over Benjamin Potts and Phineas Landers 7-5, 6-1 at No. 3 Doubles.

NICOLLET — Martin County West swept Nicollet 13-0 and 11-0, both in five innings, in a Valley Division softball doubleheader on Wednesday.
Brielle Osborne took the loss in Game 1, striking out three while allowing 10 hits in five innings. At the plate, Chloe Kachelmeier and Zoie Rengstorf each had a hit.
Osborne also took the loss in Game 2, striking out one and allowing 11 hits in 4 1/3 innings. At the plate, Madison Kettner and Lydia Martens each recorded a hit.
