NEW ULM — For the second straight game, the New Ulm Eagles baseball team put up double-digit runs.
The Eagles pounded out 14 hits to drop the Tri-City United Titans 13-3 Thursday night in a Big South Conference game at Mueller Park.
The game was stopped after six innings because of the 10-run lead rule.
Owen Castleman got the win for New Ulm (7-2, 5-1). He went four innings and allowed three runs on four hits and struck out four. Colin Forstner pitched two innings in relief for New Ulm and struck out four batters.
Kale Tisdal took the loss for the Titans. He went three innings and allowed six runs.

Zach Hubbard and Hunter Larson each had three hits to lead the Eagles. Candon Briggs, Larson and Kyle Albrecht each had a triple.
Albrecht also drove in three runs, with Hubbard and Levi Hopp driving in two runs apiece.
“Our offense did a real good job tonight,” New Ulm coach Jeff Ferrell said. “We did a nice job of putting the ball in play — our at-bats were solid and we did a good job of putting good at-bats together.”
The Eagles, who play at St. Peter on Friday, fell behind 2-0 going into the bottom of the second before they knotted the game up on fielder’s choice and a Levi Hopp groundout.
TCU regained the lead in the top of the third before the Eagles plated four runs in the bottom of the inning. A Briggs triple and a Larson infield single scored a run. An infield error and a triple from Albrecht had New Ulm leading 5-3 before a Hubbard RBI single made it a 6-3 Eagles lead.

New Ulm pushed two more runs across in the fourth on a Ryan Rathmann groundout and a wild pitch.
The Eagles ended the game with a five-run bottom of the sixth.
A Dirk Haynes RBI single, an Albrecht sacrifice fly and Hopp base hit made it 11-3.
A bases-loaded walk to Castleman and a hit batter with the bases filled added the 13th run.
“We got a good jobs from Owen and Colin on the mound and our offense is coming around,” Ferrell said after an 18-run outburst against Marshall on Tuesday.
