ST. PAUL — The UMAC Athletes of the Week (December 1-7) were announced officially on Tuesday, and Martin Luther College point guard Mya Morris was selected as the Women’s Basketball Player of the Week.

Morris propelled the Knights to a pair of blowout victories over Trinity Bible College (North Dakota) on Wednesday at Great Plains Lutheran High School, 84-52, and Maranatha Baptist on Saturday at home, 91-33.

The junior averaged 26 ppg, 3.5 spg, and shot 46.5 percent from the floor. Morris also dished out six assists in the win over Trinity and posted a career-high 32 points against the Sabercats.

Morris and the Knights will be in action on Wednesday, December 10, with a home game against Luther College (Iowa) at 6 p.m.
