NEW ULM — Crown College shut out Martin Luther College 4-0 on Monday afternoon in an Upper MIdwest Athletic Conference game at the MLC Soccer Pitch.

The Knights were outshot 27-11 overall in defeat and 19-6 in shots on goal.

MLC goalie Zachary Pausma made 15 saves in net.

Crown got two of its goals on penalty kicks in the first half, one by Joaquin Silva and one by Serni Batalla. Santiago Ciro put Crown up 3-0 in the 85th minute before Sebastian Bocanegra scored in the 87th minute.

The physical game saw eight yellow cards handed out and two red cards, with MLC drawing both red cards.

MLC (2-7-0, 0-4-0) is at Northwestern for a 4:30 p.m. UMAC game on Wednesday.
