STEVENS POINT, Wis. — UW-Superior swept the Martin Luther College Knights softball team in a college softball doubleheader on Friday, winning 12-4 and 8-2.

In the first game of the afternoon, Anna Busch homered and drove in two to lead the Knights at the plate. Jessica Horn took the loss in the circle, giving up eight hits for seven earned runs in 2 1/3 innings.

In the second game of the day, MLC was led at the plate by Jordyn Heckendorf, who was a single shy of hitting for the cycle. She was 3 for 4 with a homer, a triple, a double, an RBI and two runs scored.

Madison Uhlenbrauck took the loss for the Knights in the circle, giving up five earned runs on eight hits and four walks while fanning three.

MLC hosts a doubleheader starting at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.
