MLC 2, NCU 1
NEW ULM -- Noah Kvidt's goal in the 88th minute lifted Martin Luther College past North Central University (MN) on Wednesday afternoon in an Upper Midwest Athletic Conference men's soccer game.
Kvidt's goal was assisted on by Joel Schewe and Caleb Hengst. Xander Heiman got the Knights on the board in the 75th minute on a goal assisted by Schewe before NCU tied it in the 82nd minute on a goal from Weston Buckley.
NCU outshot the Knights 20-13 overall. Knights goalie Adam Rosenbaum made 12 saves.
The Knights (2-14-2, 1-11-1) end their season at home on Saturday in a 1 p.m. game against Northwestern.
WOMEN'S SOCCER
MLC 7, NCU 0
NEW ULM -- Martin Luther College cruised to a 7-0 shutout win over North Central University (MN) on Wednesday afternoon in an Upper Midwest Athletic Conference women's soccer game.
Megan Martin and Nicole Porter each scored two goals to lead the Knights' attack, while Samantha Colvin, Hailey Rice and Hannah Schroeder each had a goal. The Knights took 28 total shots to NCU's five. Schroeder and Kaitlin Butler each had an assist for MLC.
Knights goalie Grace Sievert had two saves.
MLC (6-8-4, 4-6-3) ends its season at home on Saturday when it hosts Northwestern in a 3:30 p.m. game.
