New Ulm 4, Fairmont 3
NEW ULM -- Bryn Nesvold's hat trick lifted New Ulm to a 4-3 win over Fairmont on Tuesday night in Big South Conference girls soccer action.
Nesvold's first goal came on an assist by Kaelyn Eikanger, while her second was unassisted. Her third goal was the game-winning goal and was again assisted on by Eikanger, who scored the third goal of the game on an assist from Nesvold.
Ari Dreyer have five saves in net for the Eagles.
New Ulm (3-6-1) is at Mankato West for a 7 p.m. game on Thursday.
PREP VOLLEYBALL
SESM 3, MVL 1
SLEEPY EYE -- Sleepy Eye St. Mary's downed Minnesota Valley Lutheran 24-26, 25-21, 27-25, 25-19 on Tuesday in a Tomahawk Conference volleyball match.
Isabella Hoffmann of St. Mary's had 21 set assists, 14 digs and 12 kills. Allie Labat had 19 set assists, 11 digs, 12 kills, one block and four ace serves. Jenica Schroepfer added 14 digs, three blocks three kills, and two ace serves. Lacey Mathiowetz had nine digs and two aces.
Kerigan Brau had 27 set assists, nine digs and three blocks for the Chargers. Ava Munsen had 12 kills and seven blocks, Ella Hunter had 31 digs, Ava Munsen added 12 kills and seven blocks. Becca Kuck added 11 digs, nine kills and two blocks, and Olivia Woller added seven digs, four blocks and two set assists.
St. Mary's (4-0, 10-1) will travel to Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart on Thursday. MVL (0-10, 0-3) will host Cedar Mountain on Thursday.
Cedar Mountain 3, Springfield 0
SPRINGFIELD -- Cedar Mountain swept Springfield 25-15, 25-9, 25-17 on Tuesday in a Tomahawk Conference volleyball match.
Hailey Hollar led with 19 digs and 13 kills. Teresa Larsen with eight kills and Nadia Meyers had 23 set assists and seven kills. Mykenna Vollmer added 18 digs.
Springfield's Jaeli Richert had 18 set assists and Bree Rassmussen added 10 digs.
CM (8-3, 2-1) will play at Minnesota Valley Lutheran (0-10, 0-3) on Thursday. Springfield (1-5) will play at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday in Winthrop against Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop.
Wabasso 3, GFW 0
WABASSO -- Wabasso swept Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop 25-6, 26-21, 25-20 on Tuesday night in a Tomahawk Conference volleyball match.
Avery Carlson led the Rabbits in the win with 10 kills and 14 digs, while Alivia Olson had nine kills, Lyla Kittelson had seven kills and three solo blocks and Kelsey Frank had 25 set assists and 13 digs. Sara Carlson added nine digs for Wabasso, while Addisyn Hillesheim had three ace serves.
GFW was led by Brynn Busse's nine kills, 11 set assists and 10 digs, while Taylor Schafer had six kills and two blocks, Halle Bleick had six kills and two blocks, Katelyn Beranek had 12 set assists and Lexi Henningson had two blocks.
GFW hosts Springfield on Thursday night for conference play, while Wabasso is at Sleepy Eye for a conference meeting on Thursday night.
Jordan 3, Sibley East 0
ARLINGTON -- Jordan swept Sibley East 25-13, 25-15, 25-17 on Tuesday night in a nonconference volleyball match.
Jessica Wolter led the Wolverines in the loss with nine kills and two blocks, while Anna Harens had 10 digs and nine set assists, Elizabeth Sell had three kills and Karcyn Dose had three kills.
Sibley East (1-5) hosts Lester Prairie on Thursday.

Waseca 7, New Ulm 0
WASECA -- Waseca shut out New Ulm 7-0 on Tuesday in a Big South Conference girls tennis meet.
The Eagles are home Thursday when they host Blue Earth Area for a 4:30 p.m. meet.
