WINTHROP — Minnesota Valley Lutheran’s Abbie Riederer scored 25 points, had 12 rebounds and five steals as the Chargers rolled to a big Tomahawk Conference victory against Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop on Monday.

Sam Dalueg finished with 21 points and 10 rebounds for MVL and Kaylee Hunter chipped in with 13 points. The Chargers were a perfect 13 of 13 from the free throw line.

MVL hosts Springfield on Friday.

Alden-Conger 55,

Madelia 42

MADELIA — Alden-Conger defeated Madelia in a Valley Conference girls’ basketball game on Monday.

Alicia Grebenc led Madelia with 13 points. Katherine DeVlaeminck scored 10 and Ollie Glover scored 9 points.

St. James 74, Nicollet 43

ST. JAMES — Taylor Sodeman scored 32 points to lead St. James past Nicollet on Monday in a nonconference girls’ basketball game.

Josi Hansen led Nicollet with 12 points and Marah Hulke had 11 points and 11 rebounds. Hayley Selby finished with 8 points, 10 rebounds and four steals.

Nicollet (1-4) is at Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial on Tuesday.

St. Clair 71, Nicollet 43

ST. CLAIR — St. Clair cruised past Nicollet in a Valley Conference boys’ basketball game on Monday.

Cody Strunk scored 17 points to lead Nicollet and Colton Thomsen scored 11.
