NEW ULM -- Martin Luther College sophomore Hannah Schroeder was named the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week on Monday.
Schroeder won the honor after scoring the game-winning goals in both of the Knights' games last week.
Schroeder opened the week with the lone goal in the Knights' 1-0 win at Crown last Wednesday. Schroeder's goal came in the final minute of the first half, and she finished that game with three total shots, including two shots on goal.
In Saturday's game at Minnesota Morris, Schroeder once again put the Knights on the board first with a goal in the 27th minute. That would stand the rest of the way as the game-winning goal, as the Knights won 2-0 to score their first ever win over the Cougars.
Schroeder leads MLC with four goals on the season, including one in each of her last three games. Through the first half of the conference season, Schroeder is tied for sixth in the UMAC with three goals against conference opponents.
Schroeder and the Knights will return to action on Tuesday when they travel to Bethany Lutheran for a game scheduled to begin at 5 p.m.
