NEW ULM — Just over one week before the start of the football season, Martin Luther College (MLC) made several changes to its schedule.

The previously scheduled season opener against Crown College on Friday, April 2, has been moved to Saturday, May 1, due to COVID-19 protocols.

In place of that season opener, MLC will now travel to Ripon College on Saturday, April 3, for a non-conference contest scheduled to start at 2 p.m.

The Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) also announced this week that the conference will not have crossover match-ups at the end of the shortened season in May, which means the rescheduled game against Crown on May 1 will now serve as the Knights’ season finale.
