ESSIG — The New Ulm Brewers defeated the Essig Bluejays 11-6 on Thursday in amatuer baseball action.

The winning pitcher was New Ulm’s Adam Slander, who allowed six hits, four runs and four walks.

Jory Dove took the loss for the Blujays with two strikeouts. He gave up five hits, four runs and four walks.

The Brewers were led in hitting by Judd Davis, who went 4 for 6 with two runs scored and two RBIs. Wade French, went 2 for 4 with three runs scored and four RBIs and Eric Austvold, who went 2 for 3 with one run scored and two RBIs.
