Scheffler threw for 372 yards and had seven touchdown passes last Friday in a win against Sleepy Eye. The seven touchdown passes is tied for the second-most touchdowns thrown in a game in state history.

Fink caught five TD passes which ties him with the most touchdown passes caught in one game in state history. For the game, Fink caught six passes for 166 yards.

"I feel fortunate as a coach to have these two athletes," Springfield coach Bob Fink said. "They're best of friends, yet as competitive as anyone."
