To the editor: “The enemy within”...that’s what the former President is currently spewing in these final days leading up to the election. He’s not averse to throwing names out there to identify his enemies, particularly his former cabinet members, who were in the most strategic positions to know what a fascist threat to our democracy he is. “The enemy within” are Democrats and RINOs (Republicans in name only) as he likes to degrade them. To the editor: I attended the Oct 15 debate in Mankato between Rachel Bohman and Brad Finstad, candidates for Congress in the 1st Congressional District. In the debate Rep. Finstad blamed the current Democratic administration and Democrats in general for what he said was the first time the U.S. experienced an Ag trade deficit. Either Rep. To the editor: To begin, I would like to recommend a recent book I have begun reading titled Humility: The Secret History of a Lost Virtue. The book starts out by telling how Socrates wanted others to be as humbled by their own ignorance as he was of his own. The author, Christopher Bellitto is a PhD historian who puts a nail in the coffin of modern hubris and self-inflation. Reminded Americans genuinely like each other

To the editor: Last Saturday, our six adult children joined us to launch a new family tradition: attending Oktoberfest at Schell’s Brewery. As we treasured our time together, I marveled at the sight of 6,000 other people from diverse backgrounds socializing over some of the best beer in America and sharing in our collective human experience. To the Editor: Everyone’s heard the expression that a person is known by the company he keeps. It is also true when the nouns are transposed: A company/Presidency is known by the people it keeps.
