Trump busy for all the wrong reasons

To the editor: President Trump has been in office only a couple of months; but, he has been busy!  He continues voicing his plan to take over Greenland…never admitting that he’s eying their valuable minerals; not really thinking about security (we already have a military base there). To the editor: Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS) has been bandied about for a while. I’ve understood its intended sentiment by the accusatory people attacking detractors of 47. However, from the start I considered the possibility of its being an ambiguous moniker. I understood that it was aimed at the people who are adamantly and habitually opposed to the person with a laundry list of human, business, and political failings. A toast to Treasurer Haus and other thrift stores

To the editor: We want to express our warmest congratulations to the Treasure Haus on reaching its 40th Anniversary.  For four decades, the Treasure Haus has been a valuable asset to the region. Frequently out-of-town visitors at Oktoberfest, Bavarian Blast, or MLC tell me that one of their stops while in New Ulm is the Treasure Haus.  It’s wonderful to celebrate such a long-standing commitment to serving the people of New Ulm and beyond. Exceptional memorial service for deceased veterans

To the editor: The American Legion, The American Legion Auxiliary and the Sons of the American Legion held a joint memorial service for deceased members on Jan. 29. The Post 132 Memorial Service honoring my dad and other vets was exceptional. They made it so personable, not just for themselves and their service family, but all the families that came to be a part of it. I had this warm feeling within as an outsider. To the editor: Here is the reason I think Mr. Musk is a patriot. First, why I think he is a patriot. He wants to make America Great Again. First President Trump gave him the job of finding corruption in the government and waste of money, billions of dollars. They call it DOGE. What does Doge stand for? To the editor: Anyone with a rudimentary understanding of economics realizes that if demand is high, prices rise, and when demand is low, prices recede. As a for instance, if you’re a golfer in our globally-warmed Minnesota winters, your golf options are limited by the small number of courses that are willing to subject the track to the ravages of hackers hearty enough to subject themselves to moderately comfortable temperatures.
