It's worth noting that in the president's oath in taking the reins a second time, he did choose to say, "I do solemnly 'swear…'" rather than using the verb "affirm," and he concluded the oath by saying, "So help me God," an addendum that, I'm sure, was artfully uttered to ingratiate himself further with Christian Nationalists who are easily swayed by words more than they are by 47's obviously less-than-humanitarian actions.
I contend that diminished resident has abdicated his duties to serve as president and is more consumed with his fetish to renovate Washington in his gilded image. He has unilaterally and capriciously gone about razing the East Wing of the White House and initiating a ("much needed"…his words…not mine) grand ballroom, an inexplicable United States Triumphal Arch, and the no-bid project that went far over budget for a shoddy outcome for the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool. I'd be remiss if I didn't remind people of the narcissist's desire to denigrate the good name of the Kennedy Center with the addition of his ubiquitous moniker.
The Property Brothers, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, Love It or List It, Fixer Upper…It seems DJT is horning in on some of that action…Indeed, he has, and he has no budgetary constraints. I'm sure he's forever grateful to the 105-110 million tax-paying Americans who are unwittingly or unwillingly bankrolling his vanity projects. (See sarcasm.)
When it comes to price tags, exactly how many billions will we pay for reparations to Iran? How much are the Right prepared to pay for inflationary costs caused by DJT's Iran war?
How about some reparations to Minnesota for the consequences of ICE's Metro Surge?
Forget about the "America First" rhetoric.
