Local resident seeks election to Brown County REA board of directors
To the editor:
As a lifelong resident of Leavenworth Township, I was raised on our family farm southwest of Sleepy Eye, where I learned the value of hard work, community, and commitment — values I carry with me today.
I farm alongside my father on our family farm and am a partner in our family-run construction business, Starry Night Woodworking LLC, where we take pride in craftsmanship and collaboration.
My wife, Bethany, and I are blessed with two children. Our daughter Lauren (13) enjoys volleyball and softball, while our son Louie (3) keeps us on our toes with his love for tractors and all things machinery. We’re active members of St. Mary’s Church in Sleepy Eye, where I volunteer at the church and school when time allows.
The utilities sector is at a pivotal moment. I’m genuinely interested in the future of reliable energy and how we can balance that reliability with affordability for all members. I believe in listening to all sides of a challenge and working together toward thoughtful, sustainable solutions. If elected, I would bring a steady, commonsense voice to the board and work to protect the values and services that matter most to our cooperative’s members.
I would be grateful for your support and your vote for District 5 at the Brown County REA Annual Meeting on Thursday, April 10, at the Sleepy Eye Event Center. Registration begins at 4:30 p.m., with dinner to follow at 5:30 p.m.
The Brown County REA has a long-standing tradition of excellent service, and I’d be proud to support and help continue that strong legacy.
