To the editor:

I have a U.S. citizen that opened “Great New York Pizza” in downtown Nicollet in 2018.

He originally immigrated from Eritrea, Africa to Minnesota and living near family in Apple Valley for 17 years, he selected Nicollet to open his business.

After spending nearly six years of trying to legally bring his young family here, his sister contacted my office looking for help for him last spring. I immediately contacted Congressman Brad Finstad’s office and in a little over six months his office successfully reunited his family with him. Thank you congressman Finstad and your staff for making this man’s dream come true.

If not for your help I’m sure I am sure I would probably be looking at another empty storefront on Main Street. We are truly blessed to have this family and their business in our community.
