Rot and decay

To the editor:

I have remained silent after the disastrous 2022 elections in Minnesota. I have to say I dreaded what total Democrat control would bring to our State. The Democrats didn’t disapoint. The Easter season brings some similarities to mind. In Jesus’ time, things had to get worse (His death) before things could get better (His resurrection). For the State of Minnesota things have to get worse (total Democrat control) before they can get better (Republican control after 2024).

Since the Legislature convened, it has been total chaos. Democrats have turned Minnesota upside down. Abortion on demand for any reason at any stage, and made Minnesota an oasis for the legal murder of the unborn. Sexual mutilation (Gender Affirming Care) for our school age children without parental consent. Electric vehicles of all types forced down the throats of consumers regardless of whether they work in cold weather in Minnesota, and no plan for recycling these vehicles at the end of their lifespan. Renewable energy mandates that will ultimately lead to blackouts in both winter and summer. Walz wants to raise taxes in multiple ways (including taxing our cars at 160% of their value), even though the State has a $17billion surplus (and growing). The Second amendment of our Constitution is simply being shredded and thrown out the window. Our very means to defend ourselves against our own government is under siege. 18-21 year olds denied their right to obtain carry permits. Who do these idiots think we draft and win our wars? Veterans should be puking at the audacity of these Democrats. And now, there are fools that think our State should “give” the Upper Sioux State Park to the Sioux Community (and then ask the Legislature for another pot of gold to replace the park with other land). I would suggest Democrats give their own homes to the Indians as well. And the 2023 Legislative session isn’t over yet.

How much worse can it get? Sadly, Walz and his band of minions have a lot of ideas yet to come. Hopefully our State can weather the storm and hold on long enough to survive the rot and decay they have scheduled in 2023 and 2024. It’s time to pray our God will provide in the 2024 elections (we will have to wait a bit longer to get rid of Walz).
