To the editor:

I would just like comment on the Dec. 29 article on the outdoor ice rink at Harmon Park given by Tom Schmitz and give credit where credit is due.

Thank you to the donations made by MR Paving and Kraus Tree service for the use of their equipment and time. MR Paving donated equipment and man hours to level off the area where the rink is located. Kraus Tree Service donated the use of their snow blower to help remove the snow prior to the liner donated by the NUSE Hockey Association being put down.

Finally a big thank you to the New Ulm/Sleepy Eye Boys Hockey team and coaches for shoveling the snow off the rink and setting the liner so the rink could be flooded by Nate Osborne. They spent many hours out in the frigid cold prepping to make sure the rink was ready to be flooded. If it were not for the time and effort of all of these people and businesses we would not have a usable outdoor rink for everyone to use. Thank you to all who contributed for the generous donation of your time, effort and equipment in making New Ulm a better place to live.
