Community thank you
To the editor:
It’s a wrap. The 34th New Ulm Community Thanksgiving Dinner wrapped up with one of the largest attendance ever. Our count showed that we served just over 1,200 meals this year. With 600 dining, the rest were in take outs and home deliveries. We ran out of pie and corn and had a little extra in potatoes, stuffing and cranberries this year. Our donations met our expenses this year and we are always relieved when that happens.
We want to be sure to thank all the volunteers who step up every year to make this event possible. They work so hard and care so much to make this meal a success for our community. It was so special to see families out once again enjoying the holiday with us and gathering with family and making new friends. We wish you a Happy Holiday Season from all of us.
