To the editor:

As previous mayor, elected by the people, for over 10 years, Bob knows what it takes to hold that position.

It takes dignity, integrity, honesty, respect and a sense of humor doesn’t hurt.

We have known Ron Wendinger for over 40 years and find he is an example of each of these qualities.

He will listen to the people and help settle disputes. He will attend commission meetings so he knows what is happening in the city and therefore be able to answer questions from the people of New Ulm.

Ron will represent our city with dignity and be a warming humble mayor with sincere friendliness to all residents and visitors.

Ron held only one occupation and that was farming, which alone takes tons of management and financial responsibility. He has worked diligently in every organization he belongs to.

As mayor there is no real power, it is mainly a P.R. position. The city council and city manager make most of the decisions, however it still takes an honest dignified person to represent our city at all functions be it in or outside our city.

Ron’s heart is in New Ulm and we think New Ulm would be very proud to have him as mayor and our representative.

On behalf of your retired mayor and myself, we write this as a recommendation for Ron Wendinger as mayor of New Ulm.
