Protect the Children

To the editor:

The Oct. 11, 2022, issue of the Independent carried an article by columnist George Will entitled; ‘Why the West must stop Putin’s drive to export Russia’s cruel pathologies’.

This article listed at least 15 incidents of Russian cruelty ranging from pushing people through a hole in the ice to drown like rats, to decapitation and amputation of genitals, etc.

Is our country much different?

Over the last 30+ years, I have written many letters in various newspapers opposing abortion. Some of them had graphic descriptions of abortion techniques such as the barbarous Saline and D&X abortions, etc. I even recommended viewing Dr. Bernard Nathanson’s ‘Eclipse of Reason’ so people could watch a little boy be summarily executed by dismemberment. Sometimes the editor/publisher would refuse to print those letters; but I would just keep writing year after year rather than have to accuse myself before my Creator of being a coward for not speaking up for the ‘Death Row’ children. (Over 65 million so far since 1973).

This election season you may have noticed ‘pro-choice’ campaign ads that state not allowing abortions for rape and incest is too ‘extreme’. But what about the ‘extreme’ act of deciding we are going to take an innocent child, who’s father committed a horrible crime, and subject that child to torture by pulling off limbs and crushing skull until he or she dies. All without even the benefit of anesthetics.

And then there is the pain of the mother; as one of them said: “My child is dead by my own choice”. She spent years in anger, shame and grief. A study of some 600,000 medical records in Finland revealed that women who have abortions are six times more likely to commit suicide than women who gave birth. (according to Life Site News)

From what I have seen so far, I would say most DFL candidates are in favor of the ‘extreme’ act of violence against an unborn child.

Most Republican candidates seem to be in favor of protecting the unborn child.
