Sensing death in America
To the editor:
I sense death. Do you sense death?
I sense death whever I go…I see it…I hear it…I read about it. All across America…that pall of death, hangs heavy! I can even smell it. Death is in the air.
Death is all over America, but nobody talks about it! We ignore this death in America, and death of America: by being loud, proud and cocky; by thinking positive; by watching TV; by spending time with all of our technological gadgets; by overworking; by business; by buying; by shopping; by pleasure seeking — all done to satisfy our vanity and selfishness; by getting drunk or taking drugs; by sin!
I see the death of morality in America, which results in the death of our morale, which is the cause for spiritual depression.
In America, I see and sense the death of the godly virtues and values of: purity, wholesomeness, goodness, righteous anger, repentance, forgiveness, mercy, compassion and real love. In America, I hear death, from the screams of the 65,000,000-plus babies we’ve killed in America by abortion since 1973!
In America, I see and sense and hear death, in her so-called “Christian” churches, where the “ringing bells” of liberty and truth and righteousness and holy living and the fear of the lord have been silenced by nonjudgmental fake “love” and fake “greasy grace” and loose living and and false doctrines and feminine sounding “men.” In America, I see and sense and hear in her “Christian” people, the death of their love and passion for the truth and the word of God, as they are filled with doubt and confusion, while they are lost in their piles of silly modern “bible” perversions and “Christian” books and CDs and DVDs and other Christian toys.
In conclusion, I ask again, can you sense death in America?
I surely can. Death is all over America, and it is all over FOR America. The spirit of the Lord is no longer guiding America. Liberty is virtually gone from America. Anarchy has taken over America’s people. “Now the LORD is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the LORD is, there is liberty.” (II Corinthians 3:17).
But, there still remains a choice for each of us, and we must choose. Do we choose Satan and anarchy and death, or the Lord Jesus Christ and liberty and life?
I choose the Lord and liberty and life, because they make living real and worthwhile. Patrick Henry, one of America’s founding fathers knew that too, for he said: “…give me liberty, or give me death.” He knew that life without the Lord Jesus Christ and liberty, becomes meaningless and empty, as death.
