Defining what is evil — Not a time to be silent

2 min read

To the editor:

So many have in the past steered clear of talking about anything political, but at this time in our history we can't be silent if we are interested in protecting our country's future.

Consider part of a quote that was shared recently: "Imagine...that even when their candidates promise to raise their taxes, disarm them, and leave their borders unprotected, they will still vote for them…"

Here are a few other things people seem to be swallowing that are being shoved down their throats by the media and the left:

• Not only is the idea promoted that we should allow ourselves to be disarmed but also that we disarm those who are protecting us and our children.

• Not only should we leave our nation's borders unprotected, but we also should look the other way when those whom we have chosen to be in charge allow personal businesses and livelihoods to be destroyed because they are unprotected.

• Not only should we allow our leaders to raise taxes, but we should let the dollar be devalued by handing out money indiscriminately, even to those here illegally, with no thought for the long term consequences.

• Not only should we ignore the fact that our monuments are being defaced, but we should allow history to be altered and sometimes erased.

• Not only should we champion the murdering of babies, but we should allow ourselves to be desensitized when a doctor says "Beam me up, Scottie" as a child struggles for life. We should let babies scream as they are dying and allow their body parts to be harvested. We should pretend this doesn't happen.

Is this list exhaustive? I don't think so. There are those who believe President Trump is evil? But this isn't?
