WINTHROP—Diane Opitz, 78, of Winthrop formerly of Gaylord passed away Tuesday, November 28, 2023, at the Good Samaritan Society in Waconia, Minnesota. Memorial Service will be Friday, December 15, 2023, 11:00 a.m. at Peace Lutheran Church in Winthrop with interment in St. Matthew’s Lutheran Cemetery, Penn Township, McLeod County, Minnesota. Gathering of Family and Friends will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. Arrangements are with the Dalin-Hantge Funeral Chapel in Winthrop. Jody L. Binger, 50, of Olivia, died Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2026 at his home. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 11, 2024 at the New Ulm City Cemetery. Minnesota Valley Funeral Homes of New Ulm are assisting the family. Jody is survived by his father, Vern Binger; sisters, Mary Binger of Franklin, Jean Merkel of New Ulm, Janet Rucker of Comfrey, Bonnie Binger of Ashby, and Cindy Montes of Sleepy Eye; a brother, Don Binger of New Ulm; and numerous nieces and nephews.
