NEW ULM--Frank Guggisberg, age 76, of New Ulm, died Sunday, August 30, 2026 at the New Ulm Medical Center.
A funeral service will be at 12 pm on Tuesday, September 8, 2026 at Minnesota Valley Funeral Home - SOUTH chapel in New Ulm. Burial will follow in the New Ulm City Cemetery.Visitation will be held from 9 am – 12 pm on Tuesday, September 8, 2026 at Minnesota Valley Funeral Home - SOUTH chapel. Frank is survived by his sister, Nettie Preisinger; nieces and nephews, Randy (Ellen) Preisinger, Cindy Preisinger, Sheri (Chris) Johnson, Terri (Brian) Schneider, and Scott (Korene) Altmann; as well as Chuck (Becky Sexton) Guggisberg, Christie (Chris) Schablin, and Michelle (Lisa) Place, many extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Pearl Hillman; and brothers-in-law, Leander Altmann, Richard Preisinger, and Gerald Hillman.
Frank was born on November 11, 1949, in New Ulm to Henry and Elsie (Hanslick) Guggisberg. He attended country school before attending New Ulm High School. Frank had a lifelong passion for farming and also owned and operated Guggisberg Trucking Company. Through his work as a truck driver, he had the opportunity to travel throughout the United States.
Frank loved spending time with his family. He also enjoyed going to the casino, being around animals, listening to music, and dancing.
Frank was a friend to everyone and will be remembered for the many connections and friendships he made throughout his life.
Frank will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Blessed be his memory.
