Patricia Ann Mumm

MORRIS–Mass of Christian Burial for Patricia Ann Mumm, of Morris, MN, will be Monday, July 13, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Chokio, MN with Reverend Father Todd Schneider officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, July 12, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a prayer service concluding the visitation at the Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris and for one hour prior to Mass at the church on Monday. Interment will be held in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery – Horton Township. In Lieu of Flowers, please consider donations to Vivie Hospice, Skyview Plaza or Cornerstone Caregiving in Alexandria, MN.

Patricia Ann Mumm was born on July 27, 1947, in Moose Lake, MN, to Edwin and Leona (Anderson) Ellson. She graduated from Askov High School with the class of 1966. On June 4, 1966, she married Paul Flannery and together they had four children, though they later divorced – On July 17, 1999, she married Stanley Mumm at Assumption Catholic Church in Morris.

Pat was a Post Master for the United States Postal Service. She was a member of the National League of Post Masters, GFWC (General Federation of Women’s Club), a founding member of the Stevens County Habitat for Humanity, Master Gardener, Woodworker and was very active in her church as head of the funeral committee and teaching religion classes. She loved hosting Christmas Dinner for the community and playing with the Morris Community Band and was very good at playing the saxophone from a young age. She had boundless energy and was never afraid to get involved or lend a helping hand. She loved her grandchildren – every summer she hosted “Grandma’s Camp” for an entire week in June for all of her grandkids. She enjoyed playing games, sewing and clowns.

Pat passed away peacefully on Monday, July 7, 2026, at Skyview Court in Morris. She was 78 years old.

She is survived by her children, Paulette (Brad) Pyan, Pam (Dean) Mithun, Pete (Kristi) Flannery, Tammy Kincaid; honorary daughter-in-law, Shannon; grandchildren, Cheyenne, Dakota, Savannah, Bailey (Traz), Cody, Zack (Tayler), Morgan (Dillon), Jayden (Audi), Sarah (Mike), Alex, Maria; great-grandchildren, Mason, Olivia, Delra, Adley, Aurelius; siblings, Betty Hurst, Sandy (Lynder) Lambertson, Art Ellson, Barb (Doug) Sampson, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family members.

She is preceded in death by, her parents, Edwin and Leona; husband, Stanley; son, Perry Flannery; sister, Mary Ellson; brother-in-law, Ray Hurst and a sister-in-law, Gayle Ellson.
