MANKATO — Wayne J. Kelley passed away on June 13, 2026, in Mankato, MN surrounded by his family. He was 65 years old. He found joy in life’s simple pleasures, especially spending time with family and friends and embracing the freedom of the open road on his motorcycle. Wayne’s greatest journey was the life he built with his family. He is survived by his wife, Cheri; his children, Brandy (Steve), Kala, Justin (Kathy), Travis (Melissa), Kim (Shawn), and Chris; along with eighteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren who will carry his stories and spirit forward.
Wayne’s family invites all who knew and loved him to celebrate his life the way he would have wanted–with one more ride. A Memorial Bike Run will be held on Sunday, July 12, 2026. Riders will meet at Hermann Heights Park at 9:00 a.m., with kickstands up at 10:00 a.m. The ride will return to the park in the afternoon, where everyone is invited to enjoy light food, fellowship, and share stories of Wayne’s life and adventures.
