A celebration of life will be held Saturday, June 20 at the New Ulm Country Club.

The visitation starts at 3 pm with a service at 4 pm followed by a lunch.

Denny is survived by his daughter, Diann Warta of New Ulm; son, Dean (Aleda) Warta of New Ulm; granddaughter, Becca Warta of New Ulm; grandson, Joey (Madeline) Warta of New Ulm; great-granddaughter, Cecila Warta of New Ulm; and great-grandson Micah

Warta; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Warta; his parents; brother, Norm (Lois) Warta; parents-inlaw, August & Lucille Kraus.

Denis Joseph Warta was born December 20, 1927 in New Ulm to Henry and Theresa (Hoffmann) Warta at Loretto Hospital. He graduated from Holy Trinity High School in 1945. After graduation, he enlisted in the United States Navy. Denny served from February 6, 1946 through December 6, 1947, and then in the Naval Reserve from 1948 through 1956. During his time in the reserves, he attended St. John’s University, then the University of Minnesota where he majored in Economics & Accounting. On September 26, 1950, Denny was united in marriage to Dorothy Kraus at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in New Ulm. Their union was blessed with a daughter,

Diann, and a son, Dean.
