COMFREY–Marvin M. Windschitl, age 89 of Comfrey, Minnesota died on May 26, 2026, at Sleepy Eye Medical Center. Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Friday, May 29, 2026, at Sturm Funeral Home in Sleepy Eye with a Prayer Service at 3:45 pm prior to the visitation. Visitation will continue on Saturday from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at Church of Japanese Martyrs. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at 11:00 am at Church of Japanese Martyrs in Leavenworth. The clergy will be Fr. Nathan Hansen. Interment will be at Japanese Martyrs Catholic Cemetery. Military Honors will be provided by Sleepy Eye Honor Guard. Arrangements are with Sturm Funeral Home in Sleepy Eye. Marvin is survived by his sons, Roman Windschitl of Mankato and Leon (Denise) Windschitl of Worthington; son-in-law, Tim Anderson of Comfrey; grandchildren, Ashley (Justin) Anderson, Nikki (Kent) Van’t Hof, and Dakota Anderson; great-grandchildren, Aubrey Anderson, Ellie Anderson, Baylor Van’t Hof, and Makenna Van’t Hof; brother, Wally Windschitl; many nieces and nephews; and other loving relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Esther; daughters, Marie Windschitl and Monica Anderson; sisters, Phyllis Wersal, Doris Windschitl, and Glady Homan; and several in-laws.
