Paul was born on September 12, 1944, in Sleepy Eye, MN, the son of Clem and Hilda (Domeier) Hoffman. Paul attended and graduated from St. Mary’s Catholic School in 1962.

After high school, Paul worked at Kraft, Ebenhoh Body Shop, Gedney Co., and his life’s true calling farming — the work he loved most. Whether tending the land or building something with his hands in the woodshop, Paul found joy in honest labor and the simple satisfaction of a job well done.

In 1965, Paul married his beloved wife, Eileen (Drexler), and together they built a family of seven children. He was a dedicated father who coached his daughters’ Stark softball teams, spent time hunting with his sons and he served his community with pride as a member of the Albin Township Board. Above all else, Paul cherished his time with family. In his later years, few things brought him more happiness than days spent at the lake with his children and grandchildren. He also enjoyed playing cards and was never far from a good game or a good laugh.

Paul is survived by his wife of 59 years, Eileen; his children Robin (Jodi Weber – Fiancée) Hoffman, Amy (Dave) Hengel, Jeff (Amy) Hoffman, Jenny (Paul) Vogel, Becky (Jeff) Lux, and Carl (Rachel) Hoffman; son-in-law Charles Wright; 18 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sister Rosemary Franta; brother Charles (Violet) Hoffman; sisters-in-law Doris Hoffman and Rhony Hoffman; and brother-in-law Marvin Windschitl and many other loving relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his daughter Cathy Wright; parents Clem and Hilda Hoffman; brothers Pat and Clem Jr. Hoffman; sister Ester Windschitl; son-in-law Mark Weymann; and mother and father-in-law John and Mildred Drexler.

Paul Hoffman lived a full and generous life, rooted in family, faith, and the land. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
