GIBBON–Wayne T. Opitz, 85, died peacefully on April 12, 2026, at Southview Living Center in Gibbon, following a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Gibbon, with Pastor Steven Bauer officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
