NEW ULM–Caroline Bertha Carmichael, 89 of New Ulm died on Monday, August 26, 2024, at the Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis. Memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 4th, 2024, at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Ulm. Pastor Jeffrey Bovee will officiate, and burial will follow in the St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery in New Ulm. Visitation will be held from 9:30-11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 4th at the church prior to the service. The Minnesota Valley Funeral Homes of New Ulm are assisting the family at this time. Caroline is survived by her daughter, Charis Carmichael Braun of New York; her son, Grant Carmichael of Eagan; and 3 grandchildren. The full obituary will follow in a later edition of The Journal.
