Charles Stuebe Hintz was born June 29, 1936 to Charles L. and Katherine (Stuebe) Hintz in New Ulm. He graduated from New Ulm Public High School and enlisted in the United States Navy. He served in both the Navy and the Marines as a dental tech, then returned home and continued his education where he graduated from the University of Minnesota for dentistry. During that time, Charles was united in marriage to Roberta Beecher at Bayport, Minnesota. Their union was blessed with two children. In addition to being a father, Charles continued his education and earned his degree in oral surgery at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester. The family resided in Marshfield and Wausau, Wisconsin, where Charles had his oral surgery practices until his parents’ health began to fade and they relocated to the family house in New Ulm.
Charles and Roberta continued to care for their parents back in New Ulm. They also cared for their beloved horse, Shammy, for many years. One of Charles’ greatest pleasures was getting to talk to visitors and children who came to see Shammy and feed him treats. He also loved going to see his children and grandchildren whenever possible.
Charles will be dearly missed by those that knew him. Blessed be his memory.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Brown County Humane Society, Turner Halle, or donor’s choice.
