Lawrence was born May 15, 1961 in New Ulm to Willis A & Mary P (San Nicolas) Schaefer.

He was a 1980 graduate of New Ulm Senior High School and was employed at Ebert’s Chalet and the Kaiserhoff before moving to Texas. Lawrence had many talents but his most gifted skills were working with computers, home remodeling projects, photography and cooking. He was a generous person often sharing his time and talents with others.

Lawrence was preceded in death by his father, Willis A Schaefer, grandparents Arthur & Rose Schaefer and Antonio & Ignacia San Nicolas.

He is survived by his family – mother Mary P Schaefer, siblings Glen (Brenda) Schaefer, Willis Jr (Linda) Schaefer, Cecilia (Tim) Fruhwirth and several nieces and nephews; Bill Waldrop of Houston, TX and his beloved dogs Desiree and Toby.

A memorial celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date.
