NEW ULM–Beth DuChene, 56, of New Ulm died Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at the Sleepy Eye Care Center with family at her side in Sleepy Eye.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 AM Monday, April 29th at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in New Ulm with Monsignor Douglas Grams celebrating the Mass. A private family burial will follow in the New Ulm Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation will be 1 – 4 p.m. Sunday and 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home NORTH Chapel in New Ulm. To leave an online condolence for her family or to sign the guest book go to www.mvfh.org.

Beth is survived by her husband, Rollie DuChene of New Ulm; a daughter, Kaitlin (Brett) Carlson of Minnetonka; a son, Aaron (Alyssa) DuChene of New Ulm; a grandson Griffin; parents, Rollie and Arlis Forstner of New Ulm; sisters, Carol (Lee) Case of Sleepy Eye, Jane Forstner of North Mankato, Paula Forstner of Esko, Kelly Forstner of New Ulm; brothers, Lee (Cathy) Forstner of New Ulm and Alan (Jewel) Forstner of New Ulm.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents.

Beth Ann Forstner was born March 26, 1968 in New Ulm to Rollie and Arlis (Helget) Forstner. She attended New Ulm Catholic Schools and was a graduate of Cathedral High School and Mankato State University. Beth was united in marriage to Rollie DuChene on November 24, 1990 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in New Ulm. She was employed at Roth and Associates in New Ulm and then with School Sisters of Notre Dame in Mankato as Human Resource Director for the past 27 years. Beth was an avid reader, loved tending to her flowers and most of all spending time with her family and grandson.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the School Sisters Of Notre Dame, Central Pacific Province and New Ulm Area Catholic Schools.
