SPRINGFIELD–Elizabeth Marie Vanderwerf of Springfield, MN died on April 21, 2024, at St. John Lutheran Home in Springfield at 99 years, 9 months and 27 days. Visitation will be on Friday, April 26, 2024 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 am at the St. Paul Lutheran Church, Springfield, MN. A funeral service will be held at the St. Paul Lutheran Church, Springfield, on Friday, April 26, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. The clergy will be Chaplain Noel Wetter. Interment will be at the Springfield City Cemetery. Arrangements are with the Sturm Funeral Home in Springfield, MN. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.sturmfh.com. She is survived by her three sons – Dave, Doug, and Curt; eight grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren. Lizzy was preceded in death by her parents; and husband Peter.
