NEW ULM–Jon Michael Wieland, age 55 of New Ulm died peacefully on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at his home in New Ulm surrounded by his family. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at Redeemer Lutheran Church in New Ulm.  Pastor Bob Lund will officiate, and burial will follow in the New Ulm City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Monday, April 22, 2024, at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home – South Chapel in New Ulm.  The visitation will continue from 10-11 am on Tuesday at Redeemer church prior to the service. Jon is survived by his daughter, Mackenzie Larson of New Ulm; and his son, Garrett Wieland of New Ulm. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lowell and Joyce Wieland. Jon Michael Wieland was born September 3, 1968, in New Ulm to Lowell and Joyce (Meyer) Wieland.  The full obituary will follow in Friday’s edition of The Journal.
