John Rolloff

John Rolloff, age 71, of New Ulm passed away Monday, March 25, 2024 at his home in New Ulm.

Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Ulm. Pastor Timothy Smith will officiate the service. Burial will follow in the St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery in New Ulm.

Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Monday, April 1, 2024 at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home – North Chapel in New Ulm. Visitation will continue from 10-11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Ulm.

John is survived by his wife of 41 years, Patricia Rolloff of New Ulm; sons, Mark (Kayla) Rolloff of Wadena, Kyle Rolloff of New Ulm; two grandchildren, Gwen and Fulton Rolloff; brother, Keith Rolloff of New Ulm; sisters, Lorie Reiser of New Ulm, Sandra (Bob) Peterson of Lafayette; in-laws, Doug (Esther) Savage, Tom (Coleen) Savage, Dave (Lesa) Savage, Ginger (Gene) Veerkamp, Mary Jo (Steele) Propp, Myrt Savage, Marvo Savage, Chod Savage; and many extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elton and Lila Rolloff; parents-in-law, Joseph and Doris Savage; and many extended family.

John Elton Rolloff was born August 31, 1952 to Elton and Lila (Wilson) Rolloff in New Ulm. He graduated from New Ulm Public and began working at Wilfahrt Brothers’ Tire. After a few years, he began a 27-year long career at 3M where he eventually retired in 2008. On September 11, 1982, John was united in marriage to Patricia Savage at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church and their union was blessed with two children. In addition to being a father, John was also active at church as an usher and on the board of elders, in the New Ulm Area Sports Fishermen Club, and was inducted into the New Ulm Bowling Hall of Fame. Above all else, John’s family was his pride and joy in life, especially his grandchildren. His fun loving and kind heart will be remembered by all who knew him. Blessed be his memory.
