Douglas Nelson, 74, passed away March 13, 2024 in Mankato. He was born June 7, 1949 to Norman and Lorraine Nelson of Hanska. He graduated from New Ulm High School in 1967 and Mankato State College in 1971. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He is survived by a sister Deborah (Fred) Gruhlke, brother Ross (Barb) Nelson, nephew Derek (Molly) Nelson and great nephew Oliver Nelson. He was preceded in death by his parents and a nephew Ryan Nelson. Private graveside service at a later date.
