Carol Ann Lindmeyer Amyotte
Carol Ann Lindmeyer Amyotte, 76 of Cottage Grove, MN died unexpectedly on Feb. 16, 2024. Memorial Service will be 1:00 pm Thursday, March 14, 2024 at KOK Funeral Home, 7676 – 80th St S, Cottage Grove with visitation one hour prior to the service. Carol was born Feb. 3, 1948 in New Ulm, MN to Jacob & Angie Lindmeyer. After graduating from Cathedral High School, she attended school in Duluth where she obtained her certification to work as an Occupational Therapist. Her first job brought her to Hastings where she worked at the State Hospital. While living in St. Paul, she met Louis Amyotte and they were united in marriage in 1969. The lived in St. Paul for a few years before relocating to Cottage Grove in 1975. Carol’s passion for working with her hands was really seen in her love for quilting. She succeeded in creating a quilt for everyone in her family and in later years she began making memory bears from T-Shirts and other fabrics. Carol was also a member of the Eastern Star where she found her niche as a cook for many of their events. Carol is survived by her husband Louis (married for 55 years), her daughter Anne Marie Thunder, son, David (Beth) Amyotte, 5 Grandchildren that she adored in addition to 18 Great-Grandchildren that brought joy to her life. Also, surviving are her sister, Shari Ann Lindmeyer Schiltz from New Ulm, brother David (Nancy) Lindmeyer from St. Louis Park and numerous Nieces & Nephews. She is preceded in death by her son Joey and parents Jake & Angie Lindmeyer. She will forever be loved & missed.
