Kevin Gustafson

HANSKA–Kevin Gustafson, age 68 of Hanska, died Monday, December 11, 2023 at Mayo Hospital in Rochester, with his family by his side.

A funeral service will be at 11am on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at Zion Lutheran Church in Hanska with Pastor Heather Hammond officiating. Burial will follow in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery.

Kevin is survived by his wife, Linda Gustafson of Hanska; son, Mikale (Courtney) Gustafson of Hanska; daughter, Larissa (Jay) Halvorson of Hanska; grandchildren, Cade, Crosley, Cambree, Jaxson, Onyx; sisters, Kathy (Brian) Williams, Ann (Brian) Lewis; brothers, Bob (Rhonda) Gustafson, Tom Gustafson; in-laws, other relatives, many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Chuck Gustafson; step-daughter, Tammy Olson.

Kevin Douglas Gustafson was born July 3, 1955 in Madelia to Clinton and Joyce (Beckmen) Gustafson. He attended St. James schools and was a 1973 graduate of New Ulm High School. Kevin was united in marriage to Linda Mosser on August 22, 1998 at Zion Lutheran Church in Hanska. The couple raised their family, Mikale and Larissa, in Hanska. Over the years, Kevin was employed with the Farmers Coop in Hanska, Fed Ex, and Beacon Promotions, where he retired from in 2021. After retirement Kevin kept himself busy with many jobs and tasks, but mostly spending time with his grandchildren. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and going to Lake Mille Lacs for many years. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Hanska and was a member of the Hanska Fire Department for over 20 years. Kevin was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. He was a loving husband, great father, wonderful grandpa and cherished friend. Kevin will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of knowing him. Blessed be his memory.
