Eugene Francis Tepley was born June 27, 1936 in St. Peter to Frank and Evelyn (Totushek) Tepley. He was a graduate of St. Peter High School. Gene was united in marriage to Georgine Asleson on April 12, 1969 at Nora Unitarian Church in rural Hanska, where he was still a current member. The couple was blessed with a daughter and a son, whom together they raised in New Ulm. Over the years, Gene was employed by Hermel Candy Company, Wilfhart Brothers Hardware, and AMPI, from where he retired. After retirement, Gene kept busy delivering flowers for Hy Vee for a few years. Gene enjoyed sports, especially the Vikings and Twins, movies, and from a young age on, was a lover of cars. Above all, Gene’s family was most important to him. He loved family gatherings, whether small or large. He was a devoted husband, dedicated father, and loving grandfather. He greatly enjoyed his life and it was a life well-lived. Gene will be dearly missed by all who loved him, as will his joke of the day. Blessed be his memory.
